Campana & Schott is once again a “Great Place to Work”

Campana & Schott has once again been recognized as one of the best employers in Germany.

As in previous years, Campana & Schott has been recognized by Great Place to Work® as one of the best employers in Germany – and in three categories: Best Employers in Germany, Best Employers in Hesse, Best Employers in Consulting. We interviewed Oliver Verspohl, one of our managing directors and Head of People & Leadership. We wanted to know what social and entrepreneurial significance a functioning, positive work culture has in today's times.

CS: Campana & Schott has once again been recognized as a “Great Place to Work” in various categories this year – what does this mean for the company?

Oliver Verspohl: We are very proud of our employees. The high participation rate shows how much they value their workplace. They take the time to give us feedback, reinforce positive things, and tackle challenges together.

CS: Why is it particularly important to invest in a functioning work culture right now?

Oliver Verspohl: Our world today is characterized by constant change, geopolitical and social changes create uncertainty, which unfortunately also affects our working world. As a values-based company, we want to offer our employees a safe haven, both in terms of their professional activities and their personality.

A strong work culture increases the resilience of organizations. With committed employees who believe in our company on the one hand and take responsibility on the other, we can also overcome difficult times together.

CS: How does Campana & Schott create a positive work culture?

Oliver Verspohl: From the first meeting, through our multi-day Start Camp, a personal senior buddy to regular team events – everyone feels our culture and, as I find, our unique team spirit from the beginning.

Our employer promise “Working with us - just be!” is actively lived by us. At our nine international locations, we offer the opportunity for personal collaboration and development and also create space for charitable activities or after-work events. Our annual company trip is an indispensable tradition. We recognize the value of these shared experiences for our cohesion and make these investments consciously.

CS: And what role does leadership play in this context?

Oliver Verspohl: Leadership is a matter of the heart for me and is again at the center of our annual goals this year. Our leaders act as role models and beacons of the CS culture.

According to our CS leadership model, we challenge and support our employees with an attitude that provides orientation and strengthens the sense of community. This sets standards in collaboration.

CS: How have these investments affected the company?

Oliver Verspohl: A re-engagement rate of more than 90% speaks for itself. Our employees contribute significantly to the success of our customers: We work in partnership and at eye level with them, are empathetic and human, and achieve outstanding results. This is continuously reported back to us and sets us apart positively from other consultancies, as I can say with a bit of pride. This special commitment has significantly promoted our growth and our togetherness in recent years.

CS: What other initiatives does Campana & Schott plan to further strengthen the work culture in the future?

Oliver Verspohl: We will address the feedback from the Great Place to Work survey in a personal and creative exchange format and jointly determine the necessary measures. Our employees are simply eager to advance and shape the company. As an employer, we create the basic prerequisites for them: a safe and modern working environment, exciting projects, and great development opportunities.

By creating shared experiences and successes, we will continue to strengthen our collaboration. I am looking forward to it!
